Welcome!

You have reached the

Mid Washington Seniors Golf Association (MWSGA)

where you can

Become Familiar with our Organization

and

Establish/Edit a Player Profile

We are a non-profit organization with over 300 members with a minimum age of 50, men and women. We conduct 25-30 tournaments each year around Western Washington at a different course each week. Beyond the people, the variety of courses we play greatly enhances a person's golfing experience.

Our playing format is either two-person Best Ball or Scramble. We use Tee Time signups for all of our tournaments and this is done on-line at the League Portal.

Many of our members are over the age of 70 and which tee they play from has an effect on their enjoyment of the game. Because of this we use The Rule of 85 to make tee assignments that is slightly modified. If you are 70 years old and have a handicap of 15 or higher (70+15=85) you are assigned to the Forward Tee. If you are 71 years old and have a handicap of 14, or higher, you are assigned to the Forward Tees. If you were 71 and had a handicap of 13 (71+13=84) you are assigned to the Back Tees. We stop the computation at 75 where we assign everyone 75 years old, or older, to the Forward Tees.

We collect a tournament fee of $10 ($20 for Guests) at each tournament and payout the winnings at the end of the season. Generally, we field 3 Flights in each tournament and pay the top 5 in both Gross and Net in each flight.

In the past we limited guests to playing in two tournaments during the year. We no longer have a limit on how many times a Guest plays, but we do charge Guests a $20 fee at each tournament. The idea of Guest players is to grow our organization. It was not supposed to be used to get friends onto premier courses with no desire to join.

We also use a point system and award money based on accrued points. Each payout position receives a set number of points. At the end of the year, we take all available monies and divide by the total points awarded throughout the year arriving at a value per point.  Once we know the value of a point, we multiply that by the number of points you have to arrive at your total payout. We then send you a Visa card with that amount on the card.

Click on the 'By Laws & Application' tab at the top of the screen where you will find the By Laws section and a page with our Membership Application. The By Laws will give you a sound understanding of how our organization operates and some basic governing rules.

It is not necessary to send in a printed application once you fill in a Player Profile because the Player Profile will contain all of the necessary information to join and pay online.

ABOUT PASSWORDS:  We have implemented a login and password requirement for a couple of reasons. It prevents one person from being able to get on the portal and make multiple tee times over multiple time slots anonymously. With login and passwords, only you have access to your information. Login and passwords make sure that only MWSGA members can make or change tee times and personal data is more secure and less likely to be changed by another person.

Printable Application - Printable Schedule:  At the top of the page is a link to a printable application. A printed application is required only if you wish to mail in your annual dues payment.

After you have created or updated your Player Profile you can Logout or close your browser.
